I just downloaded 1.0.6 and have found that when I add a symbol to a track, I don't seem to be able to manipulated it.
The menu options for align to path do not show and I can't move the symbol along the track. It seems as if it knows that the symbol is there, but when you try to move it, the whole track moves.

A change we made to symbols is causing a problem for interaction with symbols on tracks. You can temporarily work around this by going to Preferences > Options and unchecking "Scaled symbols preserve stroke widths".
I've instigated an urgent fix for this.
I just downloaded the 1.0.7 update and all is working fine with symbols on paths. Ironically when I downloaded 1.0.6 adding symbols to some paths was the next thing to do on my current map project.
