When using the duplicate tool, the lines are duplicated as this, XY coordinates can be set, but if the line containes curves or angles and we need to place with lines next to each other, they will not feet well and need to be reajusted all together, the final work is not very very good. if it could be done automatically just by setting the gap between them would be hundred time better, and also would save a lot of time.

There is no way to set the gap between the 2 lines so the tool is useless.
It doesn't provide the features i spoke about in my previous message.
We do welcome feedback about how to improve Ortelius, and are working every day to this end. However, we are only human and submitting a torrent of abusive and hostile bug reports as well as the forum posts does not fill us with joy and vigour when it comes to wanting to work with you to address them. Perhaps you might consider moderating your language and how to best get us on your side, otherwise the likelihood is that having submitted your reports to the bugtracking database, there they'll sit. We make no false claims for Ortelius so if the product is not meeting your expectations you are not obliged to use it. Equally, we are not obliged to change it to suit you. However, we are very keen to make the product better, so try being a bit more pleasant and we'll be sure to take your suggestions seriously. It took 28 billion man-hours to put man on the moon. We unfortunately have rather less at our disposal, so things will take time to get perfect. Thank-you for your patience.
Version 1.0.6 and later allows the parallel offset distance to be set.
